RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF CONSUMERS AND USERS OF THE SERVICES The client accepts the obligations detailed in Law 8/2012, of July 19, on Tourism in the Balearic Islands. Specifically, TITLE II, CHAPTER I: Rights and duties of users of tourist services. Article 15. Rights of users of tourist services. Article 16. Duties of users of tourist services. DAMAGE CLAIMS POLICY At the time of booking, the client authorizes the charge of 100 euros as a deposit, as a guarantee against the establishment in the following cases:


  • In the event of damage to the facilities resulting from the guest's breach of duty. For example: staining walls, damaging decorative elements, removing items provided by the establishment during the reserved stay (bedding, bathroom textiles, hairdryers, or other decorative items).
  • In the event of consumption of products or services not paid for at the time of check-out. For example: consumption of items from the rooms (minibar), consumption of items in the hostel's bar-restaurant, or consumption of services provided by the hostel that were requested by the guest.
  • The deposit will be responsible for any early/unnotice cancellation of the reservation, taking into account the reservation fee.



The deposit will be charged to the guest's account using the payment method provided at the time of booking or by any other means provided by the guest. The deposit will be refunded if the hostel staff notices damage or deterioration to the facilities during the stay or upon check-out. The guest will be informed, in all cases, through the communication channels enabled and provided by the guest during the booking. Once the guest has verified the proper condition of the facilities and the absence of damage at the end of their stay, Hostal Mar y Sal will refund the deposit within a maximum of 10 days from check-out. The establishment will charge the full amount of any damage caused by the guest in cases where these exceed the deposit amount.
